Is income up to ₹12 lakh tax-free in FY 2026-27?+
Under the new regime, taxable income up to ₹12 lakh has zero tax due to the Section 87A rebate. With the ₹75,000 standard deduction, a salary up to ₹12.75 lakh pays no tax.
New or old tax regime: which is better?+
The new regime is better for most people. The old regime wins only if you claim large deductions like HRA, 80C, home loan interest and NPS. The calculator compares both for you.
